There are multiple ways to increase your knowledge such as read magazines, watch some educational TV shows or educational sites and so on.
Well today i have chosen Ratio and Proportion as the topic, interesting right. In my earlier post i gave you the facts on ratio . With the knowledge of these facts it will help you in solving ratio and proportion problems.
Practice Problems for Ratios and Proportions Algebra:
1) In the proportion are 15,90 and 180 . Find the first proportional of the remaining terms.
Answer: x = 7.5
2) The age of John’s mother is 63 years and that of Clark is 9 years. What is the ratio between the mother’s age and Clark’s age?
Answer: 7:1
3. The age of Jack’s father is 180 years and that of Jack is 60 years. What is the ratio between the father’s age and Jack’s age?
Answer: 3:1
4. In the proportion are 9,90 and 190 . Find the first proportional of the remaining terms.
Answer: In the first proportional is 4:26
