Measurement-Liters

In mathematics, measurement is a very important topic. It is also used in our daily lives. When you go to get milk from the dairy near your house(in liters), to get some vegetables(in kgs), and even when you travel(in kms) measurement is used. Do you agree with me? Anyways lets look on Liters today. I will brief you with what is measurement?

Measurement:- It is a collection of data. It is done by comparing quantity data and standard unit.

Liter:- Liter is derived from a french word litra. Liter is used to measure liquid/ gallons. One liter is equal to 0.264 gallons. One cubic decimeter. One liter is equal to 1000ml.

Use this measurement and solve a problem

Convert 1564 liters into gallons.

Solution:

Step 1: We already learn t that 1 liter = 0.264 gallons.

Step 2: Now we need to find 1564 liters into gallons.

Step 3: Firstly, multiply 1564 with 0.26 = 406.64 gallons.

Step 4: Therefore, 1564liters = 406.64 gallons(answer)
